Overview & behavior
AEGIS requires an HTTP origin on 127.0.0.1, localhost or ::1; the default is port 3400.
Public DNS and firewall rules must not expose the original backend directly, or requests could bypass the gateway.
Integration: AEGIS runs ahead of the loopback PackCDN origin, with independent policy enforcement.
Validation checklist: confirm prerequisites, execute the smallest working example, test error handling, inspect expected output and preserve the last working release.
